Helpful tips before you go

Some WMAs are remote and may have limited amenities such as restrooms or drinking water, and cell service can be unreliable. Consider bringing sun protection, bug spray, snacks, plenty of water, and a recreation or trail guide. If you can’t upload your mission photos while you’re on-site, take them with your phone’s camera and upload to GooseChase when you’re back in service. All missions must be submitted by midnight on May 5, 2026. WildQuest is free, though some WMAs may require a daily use permit fee.

Florida WildQuest returns April 25 – May 3, 2026: a statewide scavenger hunt on Florida’s WMAs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites Florida residents and visitors to join Florida WildQuest, a statewide scavenger hunt experience on Florida’s Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), running April 25 – May 3, 2026.

Using the free and easy-to-use GooseChase app, participants will complete fun missions – such as photo, video, and prompt-based challenges – while exploring Florida’s public conservation lands and discovering some of the state’s best places to see wildlife and enjoy the outdoors.

How to play:

1) Download the GooseChase app and create an account.

2) Enter the WildQuest game code EBN6F2 to register and receive updates.

3) Starting April 25, visit Florida WMAs and start completing missions.

Prizes and deadlines:

Participants are eligible for a prize drawing by completing 10 missions during the event and completing the short survey (the final mission in WildQuest).
